CONSULTATION POLICY
Thank you for considering us as your legal consultants. While we are more than happy to assist you with any legal matter that falls within our expertise, we do not provide complimentary consultations. However, we have implemented a modest consultation fee of $50 to ensure that we can offer dedicated attention to our clients and avoid any instances of "no call, no show" situations. This approach allows us to prioritize the needs of those who genuinely value and appreciate our services, while maintaining the quality and efficiency of our consultations.
In 2023 consultation fees are as follows:

ALTERNATIVE FEE ARRANGEMENTS
At our law firm, we have significantly reduced our reliance on traditional hourly billing. However, there are certain situations where the law requires us to use hourly fees, or the nature of the legal services provided necessitates such billing. In the year 2023, the standard hourly rate for Cabrera Law is set at $350.00, while tasks carried out by our dedicated paralegals or administrative support professionals are billed at $95.00 per hour.
Nevertheless, we are always open to exploring alternative fee arrangements whenever possible. We understand that each case is unique, and we strive to find flexible solutions that align with our clients' needs.
FLAT FEES
Flat fees is a convenient option where clients are charged a predetermined legal fee in exchange for a specific legal service. This approach empowers clients to maintain a sense of control over their financial decisions and legal expenses. Additionally, it eliminates any potential friction in the attorney-client relationship since the legal fee is established in advance, avoiding any uncertainties or negotiations regarding the final bill or invoice. Fixed pricing is particularly advantageous for cases involving traffic tickets and criminal defense, ensuring a seamless and transparent billing process.
CAPPED FEES
Our capped fees arrangements incorporate elements of the traditional hourly billing system, with Lori Cabrera's rate set at $350 per hour. These arrangements provide clients with the benefit of an agreed-upon maximum limit, commonly referred to as a "cap," for a specific legal matter. For instance, in a litigation case, we can establish a maximum billing threshold of $10,000, taking into account Lori's hourly rate.
By implementing capped fees, we offer our clients a sense of reassurance and transparency. They can rest assured that their financial exposure is capped, eliminating the possibility of receiving an unexpected bill exceeding their anticipated costs. This approach fosters peace of mind and allows clients to maintain control over their legal expenses throughout the course of their matter.
